Established owner and leading surgeon at Delta Equine Center, Dr. Findley holds a DVM graduate degree from Louisiana State University College of Veterinary Medicine class of 1979.  He brings 34 years experience to the field of veterinary medicine with the latest in technology for SW Louisiana and surrounding areas. 

After following the Quarter horse clientele from Evangeline Downs Racetrack from Lafayette to Vinton, Louisiana in 1982, Dr. Findley established permanent residence in Vinton and continued practicing at most Louisiana racecourses and at Delta Downs.  He specializes in colic, arthroscopic and elective surgeries respectfully.

With gratitude and passion, Dr. Findley finds much reward in the resolve of his surgery caseload, lameness and challenging broodmare prospects as well. 

Dr. Appleton obtained his DVM at Louisian State University LSU and has been at Delta Equine Center since 1999. He enjoys both large and small animal diagnostics, treatments and surgery. He believes that happiness and a positive out look are a choice not a condition.

I have worked in and around vet med my whole life, except for about 4 yrs while in the US Navy. Even then I would come home on weekends and help out with the veterinary practice. I graduated in 2003 from Ross Veterinary School located in St. Kitts, West Indies - which was the bomb! After my time at Ross University, I was fortunate enough to do my last year of Vet school (clinical year) at L.S.U. Vet School. Finally I came back home to Vinton to work with my father here at Delta Equine Center. I am happily married with 10 beautiful children.

Dr Troy Findley is the 2nd son of Dr Larry Findley Sr and is a practicing racetrack veterinarian here at Delta Equine Center. Dr Troy currently services all 4 major racetracks in the state of Louisiana.
